KDSG today flagged off the disbursement of conditional cash transfer and distributed educational materials to 2,674 almajiri children under the “Children in Street Situation Programme” supported by UNICEF. The aim is to support their education and integration with their families.
The Executive Secretary, Dr Zayyad Tsiga, was earlier today at the Flag Off of the Cash Disbursements to Almajirai as part of the Children in Street Situation Programme by the Ministry of Human Services and Social Development and UNICEF. KADRIMA plays an active role in the programme by ensuring all identified Almajiris have their identity number so they can be issued debit cards for the cash disbursements. In his Goodwill message, the ES assured the Ministry of KADRIMA’s unflinching support to this noble cause and pledged that the Agency will always be willing to partner with the Ministry to ensure social development and digital identity for all residents of Kaduna State.
